Child Protection Committees - National Guidance
In January 2005 the then Scottish Executive as part of the National Child Protection Reform Programme 2003 - 2006 published "Protecting Children and Young People: Child Protection Committees".
This section explains the national guidance for all Child Protection Committees across Scotland. Angus Child Protection Committee is fully compliant with that guidance. To take this national guidance forward here in Fife we have also developed our own local arrangements which fully reflects the national guidance.
It sets out:
- the role of the Chief Officers,
- the functions of a Child Protection Committee,
- how they should carry out the task, and
- reporting mechanisms and legal context
