Child Protection in Angus
Child Protection Committees - Local Arrangements
This section sets out the governance arrangements established here in Angus to implement the national guidance and to ensure the delivery of integrated, high quality child protection services in Angus.
It builds on the work of the Angus Child Protection Committee (CPC) and has been developed to closely reflect the Scottish Executive guidance 'Protecting Children and Young people: Child Protection Committees' published in January 2005. These governance arrangements do not deal with the details of how services will be delivered and the roles of organisations and individuals in carrying out child protection work - rather they establish the operating framework within which these services are delivered.
These arrangements came into effect on 4 November 2005. They are designed to emphasise the commitment of the agencies involved to the continuous improvement of child protection work in Angus; provide clear links to Community Planning and wider children's services work and reinforce the integration of services in Angus within a single system.
